50-year-old Christopher Gaylor was found unresponsive on the Coffey Way alley near Sixth Avenue in Pittsburgh in the early morning hours of November 29, authorities announced in a release on Friday, Dec. 2.
"Medics transported him to the hospital for a suspected overdose," Pittsburgh Public Safety said. "Violent Crime Unit detectives were later called to the hospital after medical tests revealed the male had some type of metal shrapnel, possibly from a bb gun, in his body."
Gaylor died at the hospital on Thursday, December 1, according to the Allegheny County coroner's office.
Two men were arrested following a fight in the same alley on Nov. 30, but it's unclear if that was connected. Police in Zone 2 says that "all of the actors in the video have been positively identified" and "the investigation is active and ongoing."
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office has not announced the official cause or manner of death.
